Christmas Cookies!

With all the craziness of the holidays it took me a little longer then I was wanting to put up some cute Christmas Cookies but I promise I didn't forget! Last night I had the opportunity to make some cookies for my work party and here they are...

Delicious Crumbs

I love this time of the year! It seems that no matter what I have going on in my life, the baking bug always strikes around October. There is just something about fall, maybe it's the smell of pumpkin spice permeating the air, but it just gets my baking blood boiling.

Yesterday I whipped up this cute pumpkin sugar cookies for a customer of mine in Michigan, and as I placed them in the box that would be making the 1800 mile journey, I wished them well. Hopefully they survive the journey in one piece, although, they should at least make for some delicious crumbs.

I can't believe how fast time goes by! Where did the summer go? Just the other day I realized that Halloween is almost here! I really love summer but it's also so nice to see the leaves changing colors, the cool feeling of autumn in air, and the excitement as a new fun holiday like Halloween is closely approaching! Along with decorating my favorite part of Halloween is making cookies! After many years of making my traditional "Halloween Sugar Cookies" I have acquired a collection of cute Halloween cookie-cutter shapes from pumpkins...

Autmn Cookies...

Getting ready for fall means new cute cookie designs just for the season! I found some really cute "leaf" sprinkles that work perfect with a simple pumpkin design to complete a fun autumn theme. These cookies can be used for anything this fall from the first day of fall to Thanksgiving!

CTR Cookies!

For my latest cookie creation I had a coworker, who son is on a mission in El Salvador, request some cute "missionary-inspired" cookies. At first we were thinking it would be cute to do little white shirts with ties but I couldn't find a 'shirt' cookie cutter to save my life! So we tried to think of the next best thing...CTR cookies! I just did a basic circle cut out with blue frosting (some yummy sprinkles) and white CTR's. Half-way through I thought it would be fun to do some blue and green ties. I hope she will really enjoy them (as well as her son of course!) I think they turned out pretty cute!

Mmmm...

As I write this I am getting ready to bake about 3 dozen of these little guys...

St. Paddy's Day!

I've always thought St. Patrick's Day was a really fun and especially silly holiday. It's the only holiday I can think of where you get to dress up in one specific color and if you don't you get pinched! I've always thought it would be fun to dress up in random colors throughout the year...just to change things up a little bit. Well of course I had to make some St. Patrick's Day cookies (specifically for my mom) so I thought I would post them so you could see how they turned out...

They are pretty small cookies (I would say two cookies would equal about one of any of my other cookies) so they are really fun to snack on! Because they are so small (and I love St. Patrick's Day so much) if you order 2 dozen St. Patrick's Day cookies you only have to pay for 1 dozen ($9)! Now that's lucky!

You're a shining Star...

So I had an assignment this week from a co-worker to make a dozen cookies...any design I wanted. She didn't have any shapes in mind so it was all up to me. I decided to go with something simple but yet something I haven't done in a long time (or ever even posted on here). I decided to do Stars. I didn't just want to do boring yellow stars so I added a couple more colors to the cookies and came up with these...

I also forgot to take a photo of them until after I got them all ready to go so here you can see how the finish project looks. I even included the little gift tags I tie to each cookie order. With this order I also did 4 stars with a border and no sprinkles, I think they all turned out pretty cute!
